 Frequently Asked Questions
  • If I apply 1 kg/sq-m every year, will it be the same as applying 5kg/sq-m in the first year?
Yes, it is the same as the product is cumulative in nature.

  • how well do I really need to mix into the soil?
the better you mix it, the better it will work. As each sand particle should ideally be coated with the "soil solver", the more you mix the better. If you have a very water repellent sandy soil, mixing will be most important to achieve the result. While time will help, nothing really replaces mixing the "soil solver" well into the soil for best results.

  • what is the best way to mix "soil solver" into the soil?
the best way, is with a rotary hoe before you establish the garden. You will still need to go over it several times, over a couple of days. This is so that the "soil solver" gains the moisture from the soil, (water if necessary), which will allow it to break down to the small particle size that coats the WAXY sand particles, the method by which the water repellence is eliminated. If you are using it on existing garden beds, you will need to remove the mulch so that the "soil solver" can be mixed into the soil. A 3 prong garden hoe is an ideal tool for this job. Again, it needs to be done several times over a couple of days.

  • can I use more than the recommended rate of 5kg/sq-m and what will be the benefits?
you are able to use more than the recommended rate, but I would ask that you do in at least 2 applications, mixing it in well each time. As a chemical change occurs after application, this time period should be a year apart so as to allow this to occur. It will increase the fertility level of the garden soil, as well as nutrient and water retention ability. "Soil solver" is mixed product that is balanced to provide the plants nutrient needs at a rate of 5kg/sq-m. Increasing the nutrient level above this will give a small extra benefit, but nothing like the basic application.

  • This chemical reaction you talk about, why cant it happen during the manafucturing process?
This would be time consuming, difficult and costly to achieve when the soil suffers no ill effect while it happens in the soil.
